SpeedUp supports the emergency management through mobile and stationary devices. A multitouch table gives an overview over the current circumstances during the time-critical situation in a mass casualty incidient, which involves a huge number of patients. A 2d map shows the current positions of the patients and of the relief units. Incident commanders interact with the map through simple and intuitive gestures. Further research was done with focus on information visualization.
Speedup is a nation wide project in cooperation with several academical and industrial partners.
