Over 20 years people have fun playing Tetris. The popularity comes from very simple but challenging rules.
It is time to extend this game classic to a tangible multiplayer Game.TUMtris is a tangible multiplayer Tetris game on a multitouch table. One, two or up to 4 players are able to play against each other or in cooperation on a multitouch table.
Tangible 3d tokens are used for game playing, which have the shape of Tetris tokens.
The project was implemented during Simon Schenk’s Bachelor thesis. He won the Meister-Coder-Preis, which is a price for an excellent Bachelor thesis in Sofware Engineering. The price was sponsored by the company TNG Technology.
