Tangible Anchoring explores potential practices for news reporting and analysis afforded by the convergence of tabletop computing, mobile usergenerated content, the Web, and broadcast media channels. Tangible Anchoring visualizes polling data in a TV studio setup. The polling data is collected via mobile phones. SpeedUp supports the emergency management through mobile and stationary devices. A multitouch table gives an overview over the current circumstances during the time-critical situation in a mass casualty incidient, which involves a huge number of patients. A 2d map shows the current positions of the patients and of the relief units. Incident commanders interact with the map through simple and intuitive gestures.
